Not just a Dandelion
Dandelion
But what am I good for, I am just a weed
Puffy feathers and tiny seed
The wind blows once and I ‘m carried away
Scattered about to wherever I lay
The little girl looked at her beautiful friend
If only he knew the benefits he’d lend
She’d write down a list and show it to he
How much he helps, maybe then he’d see
Look all around you, this desolate ground
Where there is no natural creation, then you will be found
Yes, you may thrive in your own habitat,
But you’re growing out of tarmac! What do you think of that?
And then all that goodness, stored away inside
You can detox my organs, of that you can’t hide
Whenever my immune systems feels a little weak
A dandelion tea is what I seek
And then there’s the fashion, my favourite I can’t pick
A tutu, a hairstyle, a walking stick
My feathery friend, you are not just a weed
You must see your qualities, of this I plead
Those puffy feathers, the tiny seed
Dandelion smiled, I’m more than a weed
He began to believe that he had such good
He could help so many others, and so he would
He thanked his friend, so loyal and kind
There weren’t many like her that he could find
Whenever the wind blew his puff away
He'd smile and be thankful he could help someone that day
